Helping the

the Poor

The Servants of Our Lady Healer of Hearts

The Brother Pio Charitable Foundation understands that “needs” come in many different forms. They are complex and very individualized just as peoples personalities are individualized. The bad news is, we all have need of help from time to time. The good news is, we don’t all have need of help at the same time.

That’s why we are all obligated as human being to help those in need when times are going good in our lives, so that later, when we find ourselves in need the goodness gets repaid. This is how we build, together with all people of good will a civilization of truth and love to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life.

“The most beautiful act of faith is the one made in darkness, in sacrifice, and with extreme effort.”

Saint Padre Pio

Since its inception, the Foundation has carried out its global mission to assist in the needs of the poor.

These missions have been carried out locally in the Southwest Florida community as well as around the world in areas like Haiti, Nigeria, Cameroon and most recently in Jamaica. Through the generosity of people of goodwill that have donated from the goodness of their heart we have been able to change the lives of many of the suffering in these areas. The foundation has always used 100% of the donations for the needs of the poor and has never applied any funds towards administration costs or salaries. This mission is all carried out by volunteers and the religious brother and seminarians of the Servants of Our Lady Healer of Hearts which is the religious congregation established by Brother Peter Pio.

Missionary Work

Cape Coral, USA

The many projects are very diverse depending upon the needs of the people in these territories. For example last year the Foundation was able to donate nearly 300 lbs. of food to the Cape Coral Caring Center just before the holidays. This donation included canned goods and frozen turkeys and other essential items.

Nigeria

In territories like Nigeria, we have provided housing and a chicken farm, pig farm and snail farm. This was done in order to provide a pathway to self-sustainability.

Jamaica

Most recently we have moved into a impoverished area in Jamaica. The plan here is to also work with the needs of the people in order to provide them with the resources to create projects that will encourage them to work and boost self confidence and self worth and place them on a path of independence.

Haiti

The Foundation has also been involved in helping those in need in Haiti which included providing educational materials needed by students living in those countries.

Anywhere in the world…

We also believe mission work can be as simple as praying with a brother or sister in need of God’s blessings. These jobs are being carried out by seminarians of The Servants of Our Lady Healer of Hearts which is the religious congregation establish by Brother Peter Pio. Certainly these brothers include the mission of proclaiming the Gospels as required by Our Lord in the great commission because we feel that one cannot just be fed physically but spiritually as well in order to be truly complete.

Our Mission

The Brother Pio Charitable Foundation understands that “needs” come in many different forms.

They are complex and very individualized just as people’s personalities are individualized. Together we can build a civilization of truth and love to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life.

It is true that in most cases financial support eases the suffering people endure however other times money is not the answer.

Often times it’s just weeping with those who weep and rejoicing with those who rejoice, loving one another with brotherly love and allowing our love to be genuine.

About Padre Pio

Padre Pio was born as Francesco Fogione on May 25, 1887 in the farming town of Pietrelcina, Italy. During his childhood he loved the religious life who was able to communicate with Jesus and the Virgin Mary.

He entered into the Capuchin Order of the Friars Minor at the age of 15. He would be ordained as a priest in August 10, 1910. In 1918 he became the first stigmatized priest in the history of the Catholic church. The painful wounds were in his hands, feet and side.

To care for the sick he constructed The Home for Relief of Suffering in San Giovanni Rotonda. Although he led a pious life, he was persecuted by some of his peers.

He died on September 24, 1968 at the age of 81. Pope John Paul II canonized Padre Pio on June 16, 2002. He had remembered as a young priest from Poland he traveled to Italy and confessed to Padre Pio in 1947.

Our Why

The roots of Christianity and the Catholic Church began when Jesus commissioned his Apostles to spread the Word of Salvation. While the Word has stayed the same over the centuries, the way to share the Word has changed. Utilizing the tools of today, Brother has been able to be a Podcast personality, active on Social Media and street evangelization. The goal of the Foundation will be to continue utilizing these and future technologies to help spread the Word.

First and foremost; Transparency

Fundraising and donations can be a very powerful tool to help those in need. Sadly, it also is a temptation for those that see this as a way to fill their pockets. Time after time we read about another foundation or charitable organization that only uses a small percentage of donations for their missions. So, how do you know which foundations are legitimate or not?

From the beginning in 2017, the Brother Pio Charitable Foundation has had one key word. That key word is transparency. The foundation has always made legitimacy a priority. The foundation is registered in Florida. All our information can be found at this Sunbiz link.

We’ve maintained a 501C-3 with the IRS since 2017. Recently we have also been accepted by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to be able to accept donations in the state of Florida. Our registration is #CH59362.

A COPY OF THE OFFICIAL REGISTRATION AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE DIVISION OF CONSUMER SERVICES BY CALLING TOLL-FREE (800-435-7352) WITHIN THE STATE. REGISTRATION DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT, APPROVAL, OR RECOMMENDATION BY THE STATE.

Foundation Leadership

Peter 'Brother Pio' Picciolini

Founder

Brother Pio was born and raised in Chicago. The roots of his faith began with a very strong Catholic upbringing and a powerful example set by his mother and father who exemplified what it truly means to be authentically Catholic and people of God.

  • More

His entire upbringing was surrounded by those who took their vocation and state in life very seriously and fostered a life of loyalty and fidelity in service to the church and to God. Brother Pio is the middle child of a family with three children. An older brother and younger sister who have always provided great example, encouragement and assistance whenever needed. Additionally brother was blessed with devout parents who served as the unshakable anchor of love, generosity, mercy, faithfulness and prayer.

Brothers secular career would bring him into the world of banking and real estate. The management skills that brother received during these years were perfectly applied to make him an effective leader as the CEO of The Brother Pio Charitable Foundation as well as the Superior of the Servants of Our Lady Healer of Hearts.

Now living in Cape Coral, Florida, Brother Pio has begun not only this foundation but taken those steps to walk in the footsteps of Christ by completing his Philosophy and Theology training at Sacred Heart Major Seminary.

The Servants of Our Lady Healer of Hearts

The Servants of Our Lady Healer of Hearts missionary congregation have been called by Jesus Christ to create a global outreach as well as spreading a message of love highlighting Our lady as the mother of the whole world and a perfect example of human perfection.

We wish to maintain these rights through the empowerment of our youth, those with less privilege and the poor street children. We will counsel those drug addicts suffering with their abuse. Through collaborations with community outreach and individuals through services that will include; social welfare, Christian religious activities and educational development.

Brother Pio is the founder and superior of this religious community but certainty does not work alone. Working with his most trusted advisor Sister Uchenne Ajaero, Esq. and the guidance of other advisors and members we have successfully reached across the globe to our brothers and sister in Christ.

  • More about the Servants of Our Lady Healer of Hearts

The Servants of Our Lady Healer of Hearts was founded in the year 2018, however this is no simple devotion but something much more profound. Founder Brother Pio Picciolini has been quoted saying “We as a Catholic Society have prayed for a response from God in regards to the current state of the church and world and once again the Lord has responded with his mother”. Brother Pio has been devoted to Our Lady in a unique and profound way for his whole life and sees this as the only explanation for “the reason why she has chosen this unworthy servant” to carry out this Global Apostolate. During intense prayer Brother Pio felt strongly compelled to bring this critical devotion to a world with in great need.

“We have arrived to a dangerous point in human history”. “We are witnessing an increasing disregard for human life, resulting in a significant uptick in violence, suicide, poverty, religious persecution, racism, ethnocentrism, divisiveness, and despair. In this age when hopelessness seems to be the new normal. Most are feeling lost, depressed, and in a sense, resentful. No matter what may divide us, Our Blessed Mother’s powerful intercession and Her Son’s Divine Mercy can bring about conversion of heart, healing, and an increase in peace and understanding.”

Just as the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a noun and Mercy is the verb / action, likewise The Immaculate Heart of Mary is the noun, Healing is the verb / action. The Mother of God, and our Mother has always played in important role in salvation history and it is no different now.

The Society of Our Lady Healer of Hearts is made up of two components, the first is an international prayer group of Catholic men and women which includes all people of good will, who pray that Our Lady will heal the hearts of the world, filling them with unceasing love and abundant forgiveness to fully experience healing. This lay group are referred to as the Society of Our Lady Healer of Hearts.

The second component is the Servants of Our Lady Healer of Hearts which is a religious congregation of brothers and priests who are charged with bringing the message of Our Lady’s healing throughout the broken world, by word and action.

While not an official epithet of The Virgin Mary, “Our Lady, Healer of Hearts,” is a title that will foster a renewed sense of devotion for those who are in desperate need of healing and hope.
